About Katrine
Katrine Kristiansen studied at Østlandets Musikkonservatorium in Oslo, Norway, where she graduated in 1984. During these years she got a scholarship to University of Texas at Austin, USA where she studied music for 1 1/2 years. She also spent 1/2 year at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. After her graduation Katrine worked as a professional flute player and music pedagogue until she was diagnosed with severe arthritis in 1988 after the first of her two daughters were born. With a macrobiotic diet and meditation she healed. In 1996 she graduated from the Scandinavian
Institute of Classical Homeopathy where she later ended up teaching the
subjects of homeopathy and the inner evolution of the therapist for 5 years - also teaching these subjects at Arcanum in Gøteborg, Sweden several times a year. She
ran a homeopathic practice in Oslo for 11 years.
A cancer diagnosis in 1996 changed her life. She had several deep experiences that profoundly changed the way she perceived life and about a year after the cancer, a healing and
purifying energy arose in the body. Continuously deeper openings to the light within is still taking place and the gradual and instant impact of this natural wisdom is still unfolding.
Katrine has practised meditation for many years, and in 2001 she started giving meditation courses at her clinic in Oslo. After a 3 year break from the world of alternative medicine, working in the administration office of the Norwegian Art & Craft Association while gradually assimilating the ongoing letting go into the vast mystery inside, she now conducts Gatherings and Retreats in Norway, Ireland, USA, Canada or wherever she is invited, and engages in one-to-one sessions whenever the call comes.
From the spring of 2009, Katrine works at Markveien Naturmedisinske Senter in Oslo. Here she runs AYP Deep Meditation courses and receives clients for dialogues and energywork.
From the fall of 2009 Katrine teaches AYP Deep Meditation at the Doula school in Oslo:
